Explaining Project Disposition: When my wife Bobette died, December 24, 2005, after 52 years of marriage, I continued on without showing how distraught and inwardly paralyzed I felt and how I miss her every moment. She was a brilliant woman who studied closely in several fields: 1. Ceramics, 2. Navajo sandcast silver jewelry, 3. Higgins fused art glass, 4. Folk musical instruments, and 5. Presentations of sacred Asian dieties. She usually wore dramatic Indonesian--especially Balinese--garb, and followed the dictate "If the shoe fits, buy it in every color." She left me large notable collections of all her interests. I knew she would not want me to maintain our household mini-museum without her animating spirit neither did I wish to leave it all for my daughter, with a full household of her own, to cope with it when I die. I had to downsize. I therefore embarked on Project Disposition, and thus, as a researcher into marketing phenomena and consumer behavior, I have been studying how a consumer might go about disposing of a great amount of household goods, and plan to report on my experience.  One of the main issues was how to sell off a large number of sacred Asian art materials. This page shows an advertisement for a successful sale that was held at which a large number of objects was sold.
